Our Next Free Nature Walk: Next Tuesday

Our next free guided walk is next Tuesday, Jan.18, at 10 a.m. at Laurel Hill County Park.

We will look for our favorite Common IMG_2218-2Ravens, plus Bald Eagles, Great Cormorants, Long-Tailed Ducks and other fan faves. Scroll down to the next post to see what was seen at Laurel Hill this past Sunday.

Dress warmly and bring binoculars.

Tuesday, January 18, 10 a.m.
Third-Tuesday-of-the-Month Bird Walk with the NJMC and BCAS
This free two-hour guided nature walk will take place at Laurel Hill County Park in Secaucus.

We’ll look for Ravens, raptors, waterfowl on the Hackensack River, and any other birds we can find. We meet at the big parking lot by the Laurel Hill ballfields at 10 a.m.  Or meet at the first parking lot in DeKorte by 9:20.

The walk is run by the N.J. Meadowlands Commission and the Bergen County Audubon Society. Check meadowblog.net for last-minute weather updates. You will have to sign a standard liability release for this event.
