Our biggest event of the season is less than two weeks away! Butterfly Day, at DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst on Sunday, July 17, is co-hosted by the Bergen County Audubon Society and the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority. The day is packed with activities for adults and children. Check out the schedule below:
The NJSEA administration building is closed and will reopen on Tuesday, July 5. DeKorte Park remains open all weekend.
The middle section of the Marsh Discovery Trail will be closed for repairs starting on Saturday, July 2, until further notice. During this time a portion of the trail will be open from either entrance. In addition, the front entrance only will be closed every Saturday beginning on July 9. Please obey all signs.

Registration is now underway for NJSEA Pontoon Boat tours! The Hackensack River tours run until late September. They give a unique, up-close view of Meadowlands wildlife and wetlands, and provide scenic views of the Manhattan skyline. Be sure to bring your binoculars and cameras!

MRRI staff recently worked with construction contractors on a remediation site to relocate a Diamondback Terrapin nest to a safer and more protected location.
