Bergen Audubon Disposal Road Raptor Walk is Next Wednesday, Feb. 21
Be on the lookout for hawks, falcons and other birds of prey with the Bergen County Audubon Society as your guide. The walk goes from 10 am to noon and meets at the AMVETS Memorial Carillon on Disposal Road in North Arlington.

NJSEA Administrative Offices Closed Tuesday, Feb. 13
The NJSEA Administrative Offices will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 13, in anticipation of predicted, severe weather conditions. DeKorte Park will be closed in the morning. An assessment will be made at noon on whether to keep the park closed or to open it for the remainder of the day.

The Bergen County Audubon Society leads a walk at DeKorte Park during which a prize will be awarded to the first person who identifies a bird with the same name as a National Football League team. The walk runs from 10 am to noon and meets outside the Meadowlands Evnrionment Center, 2 DeKorte Park Plaza, Lyndhurst.

Maple Sugaring Demonstration at Demarest Nature Center on Saturday, Feb. 10.
The Demarest Nature Center is hosting a Maple Sugaring Demonstration on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 10 am to noon. They will demonstrate how to make maple syrup, including the tapping of trees, collection of sap, and boiling of sap. Free donuts, coffee, hot cider, and hot cocoa will be served while supplies last. The event is free.

Reminder: BCAS Groundhog Day Walk on Sunday (Feb. 4) – Will We See Secaucus Sam?
Join the Bergen County Audubon Society and traverse the Mill Creek Marsh Trail as they search for “Secaucus Sam,” the first muskrat of spring, and all the great birds of the Meadowlands! The walk runs from 10 a.m. to noon. The trail entrance is located off the parking lot behind Bob’s Discount Furniture, 3 Mill Creek Drive, Secaucus.
