The Bergen County Audubon Society, together with the National Audubon Society, has awarded a grant of $3,780 to the NJMC Parks Group to be used for enhanced native plantings at Mill Creek Marsh, especially near the entrance gate. The plants will be in place when the trail reopens following Superstorm Sandy repairs, slated to begin April 1, 2015. Work will be complete by the fall.

Many thanks to BCAS for being both our partners and supporters!

Please don’t plant invasive species, like Butterfly Bush, even little ones, that say they promise not to reproduce.Plant native species.
    Thanks!

I am concerned about the bird nesting going on right now. This is when the birds come back and set up their nests. Will the construction disturb these beautiful nesting birds? What about all the other animals that make the Marsh their home? Will the Marsh be open periodically in between the construction since we are being told its going to take months to complete? Thank you
