More Native Plants Coming to DeKorte Park Thanks to the Bergen County Audubon Society!
A huge thank you to the Bergen County Audubon Society’s generous donation to the NJSEA that will be used for native plantings at DeKorte Park!
The funding will be used to reestablish native plant species and enhance the Park’s gardens with flowers, grasses, shrubs and trees. Some plants that will be used include Anise hyssop, beebalm, milkweed, purple coneflower, little bluestem grass, dogwood, buttonbush and red cedar trees.
This will increase available wildlife habitat; and provide cover for foraging and nesting species in the park. We invite everyone to DeKorte Park. And tell your friends. They will be amazed at our gem of a park!
