The Bergen County Audubon Society leads a walk through DeKorte Park, a wonderful gem that includes the Marsh Discovery Trail, a boardwalk loop along the Shorebird Pool. They’ll be keeping an eye out for migrant shorebirds, songbirds and raptors.

NOTE: Valley Brook Avenue is closed due to road work. DeKorte Park is accessible only through Disposal Road. Information can be found here

The schedule for Native Plant Day is out! The NJSEA and BCAS have a full program of exciting walks, talks, presentations, award ceremonies and information tables, making for a wonderful day in a spectacular setting.

On the morning of Tuesday, April 15, the NJSEA will dedicate its Overlook Trail in honor of Anthony Scardino, Jr. at DeKorte Park.

Join the Bergen County Audubon Society as they traverse Losen Slote Creek Park, one of the last remaining low-lying woodlands in the Meadowlands. The walk is from 10 a.m. to noon.

Trails may be muddy, boots are highly recommended.

Park in the lot adjacent to the soccer field on Mehrhof Road.
