As you may know, PSE&G has been working this week on upgrading its transmission towers located across the mudflats from DeKorte Park. The work involves transporting new tower tops by helicopter to place upon existing transmission structures. It’s an impressive sight, and Marco van Brabant captured the action in the photos above, taken this morning from DeKorte Park.

Sorry, wrong about the existing structures. The old 1933 towers were completely taken down on Monday. This is the construction of completely new towers from ground up. The tower bases were carried in yesterday, today they are adding to these NEW towers.
