As of 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, two Black Skimmers were hanging out on the little island in the Shorebird Pool in front of the Meadowlands Environment Center.

Ron Shields reports seeing as many as four there yesterday evening, when the above shot was taken.

We had two Black Skimmers this morning at DeKorte for our Third Tuesday Wlak, including one that sat on an island in the Shorebird Pool for more than two hours.  They could well still be around.

We will post more about the walk, including a full list of species, later this week.
