That seems to be the expression on this Osprey that Rich Brown photographed on Saturday at River Barge Park. Rich also sent along a photo of a Common Whitetail Dragonfly, also taken on Saturday, at Losen Slote. Thanks Rich!
Below are photos courtesy of the BCAS’ Joe Koscielny from Sunday’s fantastic walk at Losen Slote Creek Park in Little Ferry. Don’t miss the next BCAS Meadowlands walk, on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 10 am to noon at Harrier Meadow in North Arlington. Harrier Meadow is a 70-acre natural area normally closed to the public, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity!
We had a great turnout – people and birds – for this past Sunday’s BCAS walk at Losen Slote Creek Park in Little Ferry. It was a beautiful morning – can’t trust the weather forecasts – and 34 people came out and saw 18 avian species as well as several butterflies. Full list of species below. More photos to follow.
