A hearty congratulations to Bergen County Audubon Society President Don Torino, who received the Linnaean Society of New York Natural History Service Award last night. The Linnaean Society is devoted to all aspects of natural history and is strongly bird oriented, providing birding field trips to various destinations in the greater New York City area.
Says Don: “I was very proud to receive the Natural History Service Award from the The Linnaean Society of New York- They presented the Award for our work Saving the Eagles nest in Ridgefield Park, protecting raptors from the Methane burner in the Meadowlands plus our work restoring wildlife habitat and educational programs .. very proud that people appreciated the hard work of our all members.”
