Seemed appropriate today to post a photo of the “Snowy” Owl that made a quick stopover in the Meadowlands recently. Jill Weiss got these fantastic shots at Liberty State Park back in late January. Great work Jill! The Owl then made a quick appearance on top of the Kingsland Landfill at DeKorte Park in late February but hasn’t been seen since.
There has been a snowy owl on the jetty’s by the Holland Tunnel in Jersey City last reported on 3/3 that was first reported after the bird in the meadowlands disappeared, looked like a lighter bird also.
