Join the Bergen County Audubon Society for a guided nature walk at Mill Creek Marsh in Secaucus this Sunday (Sept. 2) from 10 am to noon. The Marsh is a great place for bird watching and we’ll be looking for for warblers, sandpipers and other shorebirds and fall migrants.

About eight years ago what seemed like a miracle occurred on Overpeck Creek in Ridgefield Park. What was believed to be just about impossible and could have only happened in another time and place transpired right before our eyes: A pair of American Bald Eagles took up residence in one the most densely populated areas of the country.

Join the Bergen County Audubon Society this coming Tuesday (Aug. 21) as they lead a guided walk of Mill Creek Marsh in Secaucus, a fantastic spot for birding. They’ll be keeping an eye peeled for shorebirds like like Semi-palmated Sandpipers, Greater Yellowlegs and Short-billed Dowitchers.
