Thanks to the more than 75 budding birders who attended yesterday’s Bergen County Audubon Society Birding for Beginners Program at DeKorte Park. Participants learned about birding optics and identification, then took a guided walk of DeKorte Park where they saw Great Egrets, Osprey, Northern Shovelers, Pintails and more.
Join the BCAS this Sunday, April 7, for a special guided walk of Harrier Meadow, a beautiful natural area usually closed to the public. They’ll be looking for spring migrants, ducks and more.
The walk goes from 10 am to noon and meets at the gate to Harrier Meadow off Disposal Road, North Arlington. For more information, contact Don Torino at greatauk4@gmail.com or 201-230-4983.
