Batstock Fundraiser This Friday Through Sunday Sept. 20-22)
Meadowlands friend and bat specialist Joe D’Angeli of the Wildlife Conservation Center in Garfield is hosting his annual Batstock, a fundraiser highlighting the importance of bats. Proceeds collected will go to White Nose Syndrome research, bat rehabilitators, and to The Wildlife Conservation Center’s ongoing bat conservation and education efforts.
“For centuries, negative myths and misinformation have generated needless fears and threatened bats and their habitats,” D’Angeli says.
“BATSTOCK will help educate people around the world about the benefits of bats. And knowledge is the key.”
Activites take place Friday night Sept. 20 in Garfield, Saturday TBA and Sunday in Teaneck. See fliers below. For more info call (201) 257-2231 or visit www.batstock.org and www.thebatcave.org
