Sunday, July 6, Native Plant and Butterfly Walk at DeKorte Park!

Milkweed and a Monarch Butterfly

Get acquainted with DeKorte Park’s majestic butterflies and the beautiful, native plants throughout the park with the Bergen County Audubon Society. The walk goes from 10 a.m. to noon.

Fast fact: Milkweed, a native plant found in the park, is the only plant on which Monarch butterflies lay eggs, an especially important fact as the species is in decline.

Meet outside the Meadowlands Environment Center, 2 DeKorte Park Plaza, Lyndhurst.

Don’t forget to attend Butterfly Day at DeKorte Park on Sunday, July 20!
