Set your radio dial to WFDU 89.1 FM and your alarm to 6:30 a.m. this Sunday for the latest episode of Don Torino’s The Nature Connection. Don, President of the Bergen County Audubon Society, recently interviewed NJSEA Meadowlands Research and Restoration Institute Wildlife Biologist Mike Turso.

Don and Mike discussed MRRI projects including bioacoustics, which specify soundscapes as indicators of biodiversity, Saltmarsh Sparrow Monitoring, Bat Monitoring, and Diamondback Terrapin Mark and Recapture.

“Mike Turso began birding with us when he was in the sixth grade, so It was wonderful when he began working with the NJSEA and it is a thrill for me to have him on “The Nature Connection.”
