We saw this guy by the Carillon on AMVET Way in North Arlington the other day.
We call it a Muskrat. The larger raptors call it lunch.
Just part of nature's never-ending food chain…

This is a great picture. These animals are beautiful and they are the closest thing (physiologically and genetically) to a human living in these marshes. However, because rat is part of their name they are difficult to glamorize. If the name were Bambi-musk we would hang posters of it in our bedrooms.
