Very funny…humor only a birder can understand. Serious question: While I enjoyed seeing the snowy owl on Monday I wonder if anyone can determine if these owls at the Meadowlands are healthy. My bird books seem to imply that if you see them this far south and during the day it is only because they are starving and debilitated. Is this always the case or is it another sign of global warming?
