Can You ID These Sandpipers?

These are the main types of sandpipers we are getting at DeKorte these days. These were photographed on a free guided Marsh Discovery Trail walk last week.

Can you identify them?

A Semipalmated Sandpiper is on the left (black legs). A Least Sandpiper is on the right (yellow legs).

Below, a look at the Semipalmated's semipalmated (webbed) foot.

    Very cool foot shot of the Semi-palmated SP. It’s not something one would see unless the bird was in-hand.
