Diamondback Terrapins (above) were among the many highlights of this morning's awesome birding cruise. Birds? Yeah, we saw a few — including Least and Caspian Terns, Semipalmated Plovers and Sandpipers, and Yellow-crowned and Black-Crowned Night Heron.
We will post a full list later this week. A big thank you to all who participated. We'll have to do this again next summer!
If you missed the birding cruises this year, you still have another chance. There will be 4 more cruises on Saturday, September 10th, that will take place as part of the Meadowlands Festival of Birding.

The cruise was fantastic, and I even got three new life birds on the cruise (Caspian tern, semipalmated plover, clapper rail). I’m glad I finally got to go on a cruise as I’m moving to Florida on Tuesday, so this was my last chance!
