Today’s Mill Creek Marsh Walk

We had a very entertaining walk at Mill Creek Marsh in Secaucus this morning, with 34 species of birds and 22 varieties of human.

Bird of the day: Eastern Kingbird?

Some shorebirds moving in, and warblers moving out.

I noticed a drop off of the many nice pictures saw posted just a few months ago, It would be nice to see some more pictures of the wildlife spotted while out on the 2 hr trail walks, Also it was nice to see above picture of the group that took the walk that day,Thanks.

MILL CREEK POINT & SECAUCUS HIGH SCHOOL BOARDWALK, Secaucus
The Secaucus High School Marsh Boardwalk runs along the river. You can launch kayaks and canoes at the free launch ramp at Mill Creek Point.
SCHMIDT'S WOODS, Secaucus

SKEETKILL CREEK MARSH, Ridgefield
After turning onto Pleasant View Terrace West, go about 100 yards, and marsh entrance will be on your left.
MONK PARAKEETS, Ridgefield
When you reach Railroad Avenue, head south under Hendricks Causeway Bridge. Park car near the bridge and listen; Monk Parakeets live in nests on underside of the bridge.
KEARNY MARSH, Kearny
Camman Drive loops around Gunnell Oval; the marsh is to the east of the easternmost corner of the drive. You can launch kayaks and canoes at this location.
Losen Slote Creek Park, Little Ferry
On Mehrhof Road, turn right just before the DPW garage. Plenty of parking straight ahead and to the right.
