On Monday, we asked readers to tell us what kind of rock this was, and where it was found.
The answer follows.This rock is a piece of Pseudomalachite, found in the Schuyler Copper Mine in North Arlington and collected in the 1950s by Leonard Miller. A further description calls it: “Sandstone matrix coated with botryoidal deep green pseudomalachite with minor blue chrysocolla.” Who knew?
