The North Jersey chapter of the North American Butterfly Association is conducting a butterfly walk at DeKorte Park on Sunday, August 9, from 9:30 to noon (approximately). It is free and open to the public, and children are welcome.
Stay as long as you like. Meet in the first parking lot (just past the park entrance). Rain cancels.

As you probably surmised, today''s Harrier Meadow Walk has been canceled. Any hopes of having the walk disappeared with the first lightning.

Local landscapes and landmarks as captured by painter Melissa Maiorano will line the walls of the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission’s (NJMC) Flyway Gallery during August.
The exhibit, “Treasures in the Marsh: Paintings by Melissa Maiorano,” runs from Sunday, Aug. 2 through Sunday, Aug. 30. A reception for the artist is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m., on Aug. 2.
