The Art Association of Rutherford’s 63rd Anniversary Open-Juried Art and Photography Exhibit will be on display at the NJMC Flyway Gallery during October.
The show runs today, Monday, Oct. 4, through Friday, Oct. 29.
An awards reception is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The environmentally-themed exhibit includes nature and wildlife photography as well as oils, watercolors, pastels, and drawings of seascapes and landscapes.
More info and two more images follow.
The Art Association was chartered in 1947 to develop and encourage an interest in the arts.
The Flyway Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The gallery is located at the Meadowlands Environment Center in Lyndhurst, within DeKorte Park, the home of the NJMC.
The park encompasses one-square mile of wetlands, nature trails and water views – framed by the New York City skyline – and is a great place for bird watching and enjoying nature in general.
Directions to DeKorte Park are available in the left-hand column of this blog, or by calling (201) 460-8300.
