I saw this on my heron survey on Saturday. It’s a Bighead Carp (Cyprinus caprio), an invassive species introduced from Asia. Probably got nabbed by an Osprey or some mammal with long enough legs to tolerate the mud on Harrier Meadow’s mudflats.
Argh, I misspelled “invasive” in my haste to answer! My apologies.
I don’t think Bighead Carp in the Meadowlands waters is a good thing.
