Tomorrow (Wednesday) night is the big Bald Eagle e-book launch event, featuring David Wheeler of Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey, the NJMC’s Jim Wright and special guest Kathy Clark of the state’s Endangered and Nongame Species Program.
The event will celebrate the heartening comeback of our nation’s symbol in our region, accompanied by some amazing photographs of these majestic raptors — and other Meadowlands raptors on the threatened and endangered list. The book’s photographers have been invited to attend and take a bow.

Launch Event for eBook on Meadowlands Eagles – Free Talk, Slide Show and Reception
To help celebrate the launch of the new free eBook “Bald Eagles in the Meadowlands and Beyond,” Bergen County Audubon Society is pleased to present a free talk and reception in Meadowlands Environment Center at DeKorte Park on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m. The crowd-sourced eBook, sponsored by the N.J. Meadowlands Commission and Conserve Wildlife Foundation, features amazing images by 19 mostly local nature photographers, as well as chapters on the Bald Eagle’s amazing recovery in the region, the state and nationwide. Local Bald Eagles Alice and Al are featured in the eBook and in the presentation by the NJMC’s Jim Wright and CWF’s David Wheeler. All contributors to the book are being invited to attend this special event. The talk will being at 8 p.m., at the conclusion of the BCAS monthly business meeting. Light refreshments will follow.
