Then the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission wants to give you an opportunity to show your work at the NJMC’s Flyway Gallery in 2009.

, the Flyway Gallery can hold roughly 60 works. It is situated along the corridor leading to the MEC Visitor’s Center, ensuring that exhibits will be seen by visitors to MEC events as well as regular gallery patrons.
Past shows have featured photography, drawings, paintings and mixed-media. Subjects have ranged from local sunsets and landscapes to polar bears in
Alaska
and portraits of the Italian countryside.

In addition to individual artists, local art organizations and school groups are also welcome for consideration. Non-district residents who meet certain criteria are also eligible.
The NJMC created the Flyway Gallery to help foster the cultural identity of the 14-town Meadowlands District by providing a space to showcase the talent of local artists.
The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free. For information, visit www.njmeadowlands.gov/ec.
