In this week’s editions, the South Bergenite has a nifty story about Joe Macasek’s recent talk at the MEC about the old Schuyler Copper Mines in North Arlington. — one of the oldest copper mines in the United States.
It was also one of the first mines in the nation to use a steam engine to pump out water.
