Julie McCall was nice enough to provide a list of birds from yesterday's walk. I added a few that my sub-group saw as well.
Highlights included non-stop American Kestrels, a Coop, and a Golden-crowned Kinglet.
Full list follows. Email us here if we missed any.
Sept. 21, 10:30- noon
40+ observers, mile-long walk
Great Blue Heron
This sounds like a cool walk. Are the walks free? How do I find out about them? I was at DeKorte myself on Tuesday and sure didn’t see any 32 species, LOL. Guess I better rummage around this site and see if I can find info about the walks.
There’s a couple of unusual birds on this list that I don’t recall seeing on previous lists. Nice job, guys!
Debbie, you can find a list of meadowlands events here:
Mr. Jim Wright also generally posts a reminder here on the blog a few days before each event, so check back here often.
I agree with Debbie post the walks sound like fun and the view and sitings must be interesting, I have a good pair of 10 x 50 Binoculars. I wish there main web site to let me know of all the events scheduled for even if natuure walkI can go for short walk and with the Bincualars I have I can probley do good from center view room, since legs can be a problem. any way anyone know about listings of events can be found for the William McDonald observatory? my e mail T5761@aol. thank you
