Third-Tuesday-of-the-Month Nature Walk with the NJMC and BCAS
This free two-hour guided walk in DeKorte Park includes a stretch of nearby Disposal Road, one of the very best places to watch (and photograph) winter raptors in the entire region. We’ll meet just inside the Environment Center. The walk is run by the N.J. Meadowlands Commission and the Bergen County Audubon Society. Thursday, Dec. 19, 7 – 9 p.m.
Winter Solstice Celebration – All ages
Welcome the first day of winter and the return of the sun. Learn about the history of the solstice, make a solstice craft, and enjoy celebratory food and drink! Adults must accompany children. $5/person; $4/MEC members
