Due to forecasted inclement weather, tonight’s (Aug. 31) open public viewing session at the William D. McDowell Observatory in DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst has been cancelled. The next open public viewing night is Wednesday, Sept. 7, from 8 to 10:30 pm

The BCAS is hosting a nature walk at Losen Slote Creek Park in Little Ferry  this Sunday, Sept. 4, from 10 am to noon. Be sure to pencil in time during the holiday weekend for this chance to experience the Meadowlands’ natural beauty. They’ll be looking for for thrushes, warblers and other fall migrants.
