While You Were (Probably) Sleeping

While no doubt some of us were still sleeping around 6 a.m. this morning, Mickey Raine was here at DeKorte, actually before 6 a.m., to capture the magic during pre-sunrise and just after sunrise.

Mickey reports: I arrived before 6:00 am and waited for the show to begin, and just when there was enough ambient light playing off the water in the foreground, the camera was lifted and the shooting began. Quite a few shots were taken between around 6:15 and 6:45 or so, but the ones most attractive and best representing that short stretch are those attached here.

These photos are amazing and make me want to get out to DeKorte at pre-sunrise too. But I think I’ll wait a few months!

The walk is from 10 am to noon and meets outside the Meadowlands Environment Center. For more info contact Don Torino at greatauk4@gmail.com or 201-230-4983.
