"A flock of brant at DeKorte Park photographed late Wednesday afternoon as they came, rested, and left.
"I've seen flocks like this overhead at DeKorte Park on several occasions this spring." (Thanks, Ron!)

I saw these flying in groups over DeKorte and dismissed them as geese. I was wondering why geese would be migrating this time of year, but didn’t think much about it, except that their calls sounded a little peculiar. Once I read this article I listened to a Brant call online, and now realize that what I saw wasn’t geese at all, but Brants. Thanks for the blog post.
