DeKorte Weekend: Roy Woodford’s Report

Spring has really sprung at DeKorte … what a fantastic weekend.

The Kingsland Overlook Trail has been overrun by Yellow-rumped Warblers, Palm Warblers, and Ruby-crowned Kinglets.

I wish I had another camera with me … one of the Kinglets decided to land on my lens hood.  I had to keep backing up … they were flying toward me more often than not.

I even managed to convince the Blue-gray Gnatcatcher to sit still for about 1.5 seconds.

It just doesn't get much better than this.  (Thanks, Roy!)

More pix follow. Posting Allan Sanford's photos tomorrow.
