The Meadowlands Commission is hosting its annual Staff Art Exhibit from Friday, Nov. 6, through Sunday, Nov. 29, at the Flyway Gallery in the Meadowlands Environment Center.

The exhibit – which is open daily to the public for free – features nature photography and watercolors by Commission employees.

This year’s show includes interesting multi-media works of Meadowlands landmarks by landscape architect Lisa Cameron, who also exhibited with the Highland Park Artists’ Collective this past May. Her work "WMCA" is pictured above.

The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

It is one of several free attractions at the Meadowlands Environment Center, which is located in DeKorte Park, a 110-acre oasis with walking trails and water views, all framed by the New York City skyline.

Other exhibitors include Jeniffer Obando, an Environmental Educator whose travel photography includes pictures from Jordan, Puerto Rico and California, and Jim Wright, NJMC's nature-blog keeper, who took photographs of nearby marshes and their inhabitants.

The NJMC created the Flyway Gallery in 2002 to help foster the cultural identity of the 14-town Meadowlands District by providing a space for talented local artists to display their work.
