Ron Shields reports that the Kearny Marsh was a great spot for raptor watching this past weekend, including the Bald Eagle above and the Northern Harrier below.

Nice pics! Where do you park for the Kearny Marsh?
The directions are in the left-hand column of this blog (follow the link), but you really need a kayak or a canoe to get out to where the action is. There’s a small boat launch on the northeast side of Camman Drive, but there’s (usually) not much to see from the parking lot or the trail running along the old railroad tracks if you are on foot.

Park at the Gunnell Oval off Schuyler Avenue… You can launch a kayak or canoe there as well.
