Kearny Marsh Update 032511

Kearny March was hopping this morning, with 250 Ruddies rafting to the south of Gunnell Oval.  Lots of American Coots and Northern Shovelers as well. Ron Shields reports seeing a Pied-billed Grebe chilling with the Ruddies the other day.

Still about the same! I was at Kearny earlier today and saw at least 200 ruddies still there. Only a half dozen northern shovelers, and a single coot, however. The red-winged blackbirds and tree swallows were sure out in force though.
