Don’t Forget: DeKorte Plant Walk Sunday!

One of our most popular annual events takes place this Sunday. It's the June NativIMG_1765-001e Plant Walk, featuring the exceptional Edith Wallace, and it's free.

If you want to learn all about the native plants in DeKorte Park — and why native plants are so important — please join the Meadowlands Commission and the Bergen County Audubon Society at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Not to be missed…

DeKorte Park Plant Walk with the NJMC and BCAS

Join us for a two-hour plant walk of DeKorte Park with botanist Edith Wallace. We will be looking for the plants that attract birds and butterflies, and which ones would work in your home gardens. We’ll keep an eye out for birds and butterflies, too. The walk meets inside the Meadowlands Environment Center. The walk is run by the N.J. Meadowlands Commission and the Bergen County Audubon Society. Check meadowblog.net for last-minute updates and weather advisories. You will have to sign a standard liability release that is good for NJMC/BCAS events throughout the year. To rsvp, contact Don Torino of the BCAS at greatauk4@aol.com  or 201-230-4983.
