The South Bergenite has an informative article about the NJMC’s plans to repair DeKorte Park’s beloved Marsh Discovery Trail, seriouly damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
Key bit of info: The new trail will have cedar planking instead of plastic, which could get really hot in summer.

Upon further review, we think that this sequence is of an adult male Osprey stopping by to see his mate, who is watching young fledglings. (Very hard to monitor from Valley Brook Ave., our usual vantage point.)
