Nest ID Help Wanted

We saw this nest high atop a radio transmission tower in Carlstadt.

We were thinking crow’s nest or raven’s nest. Any suggestions?

Any chance it could be Monk Parakeets? It would fit in the range of the Hendrick’s Causeway and the new nest in Secaucus.

Could this be a grackle nest? There are recent ebird sightings of boat-tailed grackle from this area.

After turning onto Pleasant View Terrace West, go about 100 yards, and marsh entrance will be on your left.
MONK PARAKEETS, Ridgefield
When you reach Railroad Avenue, head south under Hendricks Causeway Bridge. Park car near the bridge and listen; Monk Parakeets live in nests on underside of the bridge.
KEARNY MARSH, Kearny
Camman Drive loops around Gunnell Oval; the marsh is to the east of the easternmost corner of the drive. You can launch kayaks and canoes at this location.
Losen Slote Creek Park, Little Ferry
On Mehrhof Road, turn right just before the DPW garage. Plenty of parking straight ahead and to the right.
