Mill Creek Marsh Is Still Open!

Because of winter-weather concerns, the contractors for the Mill Creek Marsh Trail renovation have decided not to begin work this year.

They will start on March 3, 2015. They anticipate completion by the end of May 2015.

Please spread the word! Mill Creek Marsh trails are still open.

Went to Mill Creek Marsh at lunchtime today. Maybe someone should tell the security people Mill Creek is still open. LOL. The gates were locked. : (

The Secaucus High School Marsh Boardwalk runs along the river. You can launch kayaks and canoes at the free launch ramp at Mill Creek Point.
SCHMIDT'S WOODS, Secaucus

SKEETKILL CREEK MARSH, Ridgefield
After turning onto Pleasant View Terrace West, go about 100 yards, and marsh entrance will be on your left.
MONK PARAKEETS, Ridgefield
When you reach Railroad Avenue, head south under Hendricks Causeway Bridge. Park car near the bridge and listen; Monk Parakeets live in nests on underside of the bridge.
KEARNY MARSH, Kearny
Camman Drive loops around Gunnell Oval; the marsh is to the east of the easternmost corner of the drive. You can launch kayaks and canoes at this location.
Losen Slote Creek Park, Little Ferry
On Mehrhof Road, turn right just before the DPW garage. Plenty of parking straight ahead and to the right.
