Autumn by the lake - Bonnie Heilman
The “Four Seasons” centers on North Jersey, the Jersey Shore and New England. Heilman’s paintings include tranquil lake settings and roaring waves crashing down onto shorelines.(Above, Heilman's "Autumn by the Lake."

Ivy statue face - Chris Peters
Peters’ photographs capture everything from birds tending to their nests and dazzling butterflies to leaves glistening with raindrops and frost-tinted windows.(Above. Peters' Ivy Statue Face.)

Heilman, of Ridgefield Park, has painted throughout her life and is thrilled that she can now devote more time to her craft after recently retiring from the cosmetics industry. Like Peters, Heilman is moved by everyday settings, as well as cherished memories.

The Flyway Gallery is located in the Meadowlands Environment Center in DeKorte Park and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, excluding holidays. DeKorte Park encompasses one-square-mile of wetlands, nature trails and water views and is a great place for bird watching and enjoying nature in general.
