Today’s Mill Creek Marsh Walk

IMG_1095The weather may not have been the best, but the birding was excellent — including the Rusty Blackbird at left.

We also had great looks at a young Yellow-crowned Night Heron and tons of Yellow-rumps and Palms — but just one raptor, a Coop.

A big thank you to all who participated.

Will post the full list later in the week — more than 40 species in all.

Nice to see the Rusty Blackbird, and sad that they are in decline. We’ve been filming good sized flocks of RBs moving through the Cornell Lab in Ithaca.
