Our Next Book Talks

Nature of Meadowlands cover lg-001We have two free talks and slide shows about our book "The Nature of the Meadowlands" next week — Monday night in Lyndhurst and Wednesday night in Ridgefield.  Both events start at 7 p.m. and are open to the public.

Join Jim Wright of the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission as he discusses his new coffee-table book for the NJMC, “The Nature of the Meadowlands,” a celebration of the amazing environmental rebound that has taken place in our region over recent decades.

Jim’s talk, featuring archival images and new nature photography from the book, will include a quick history of the Meadowlands, a look at the region’s wonderful open spaces.

The talk will be followed by a question-and answer session. Books will be available for sale, and signing, with all proceeds from the book going to the Meadowlands Commission’s environmental education programs.

“The Nature of the Meadowlands,” published by Schiffer Books, features a foreword by Governor Tom Kean and chapters on birds, butterflies, mammals, parks and a photo journal of the region throughout the year.
