The latest edition of The South Bergenite has a nice profile of the author of the new children's book "Meadowlands," Thomas F. Yezerski.

The profile, by Staff Writer Daniel O'Keefe, provides insights to Yezerski's background and how the book came to be.

Signed copies of the book are on sale at the Tidelands Gift Shop at the Environment Center in DeKorte Park.

Tom Yezerski will be reading from his book and talking about it in a free children-oriented event at the Environment Center on Saturday, June 25, at 10:30 a.m.
