Sunset Mike’s Meadowlands Videos: Part 1

Video 1 (above): “A Summer of Sunsets” (and generally great skies), all from DeKorte Park and Disposal Road. Please play with “sound” on.

Mike Maddaloni writes:

I recently went into high gear, producing not one, or two, but three videos featuring Meadowlands sunrises and sunsets — all time-lapse compilations starting from the summer until a few weeks ago.

Summer sunsets, and fall sunrises and sunsets; two different themes, three videos total.

I’d be honored, as always, to share these with  the Meadowblog community, as you know LOTS of work goes into producing these videos, not just capturing the images, but hours of post production work — tiny things not worth mentioning here that gave me lots of grief.

Nonetheless, I present to you this work, as polished and as awesome as I can make them.

(Thanks, Mike!)

We’ll post the second video tomorrow.

Coming Next Week: Amazing Videos

meadowlands_sunset_nov_9_IMG_6033Mike Maddaloni, affectionately known by fellow Meadowlands photographers as Sunset Mike, has produced a series of three videos featuring Meadowlands sunrises and sunsets in autumn — all set to music.

We’ll post one on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday — with a bonus video next Friday.  Hundreds of hours of work went into these labors of love, and it shows. So stay tuned.

The 1-E Bald Eagle

IMG_8253We have been seeing the Bald Eagle perched on the distant 1-E Landfill fairly regularly.

These photos were taken from Harrier Meadow this week, but it can be seen from DeKorte Park as well if you bring a spotting scope and scan the landfill.  Just sayin;’.DSCN0134
