Free Bonus Walk: This Sunday

Mill Creek Marsh in Secaucus is so beautiful this time of year that the Meadowlands Commission and Bergen County Audubon thought we'd add a Sunday walk. We'll look for raptors, ducks and lingering shorebirds.

Details follow.

Sunday, Oct. 23, 10 a.m.- Mill Creek Marsh
Nature Walk with the NJMC and BCAS- Mill Creek Marsh

We thought we would check out Mill Creek Marsh in Secaucus for this bonus free two-hour walk. It’s a great place to see raptors and waterfowl – and those amazing ancient cedar stumps. We meet at the trail’s entrance, just off Park Plaza Drive. You can also meet us at the visitors’ parking lot at DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst at 9:30 a.m. and carpool. The walk is run by the N.J. Meadowlands Commission and the Bergen County Audubon Society. Check meadowblog.net for last-minute updates and weather advisories. You will have to sign a standard liability release for 2011 if you haven't already. To rsvp, contact Don Torino of the BCAS at greatauk4@aol.com or 201-230-4983. FREE to ALL
